Diablo Real Estate Group, P.C. is a boutique law practice that provides both legal counsel and consulting services in the areas of land use and real estate development, acquisition and dispositions, joint ventures and entity formation, leasing, construction and finance. Diablo Real Estate Group also will provide owners, developers and investors with entitlement, project management and land development consulting services.
Michael Greene, President
Mike is a business lawyer with a focus in real estate, land use and finance, representing developers, institutional investors, and high net worth individuals and companies in a broad range of projects. Mike has facility in acquisitions, dispositions, finance, leasing, land use entitlements and construction. Mike specializes in complex transactions, including the formation and operation of acquisition and development vehicles, and the structuring of innovative approaches to the execution of clients' business, legal and practical objectives.
Mike began his career at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen in 1987. He made Partner in 1994 and subsequently left what by then was known as Bingham McCutchen to become a Shareholder at Morgan Miller Blair in 2004. Diablo Real Estate was formed in 2007 and Mike has served as Principal since that time.
Mike has taught U.C. Extension courses in land use, co-authored the CEB Subdivision Map Act Practice Supplement, and conducted law firm in-house training programs in negotiation and substantive real estate topics. Mike was Chair of Morgan Miller Blair's 25-member Real Estate Practice Group, and held active leadership roles in Bingham McCuthen's training, recruiting and mentoring programs. Mike is a member of California and Contra Costa County Bar Associations, and a 20-year member of the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.
Mike attended University of California, Hastings College of the Law and graduated with a J.D., Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif in 1987.
His undergraduate studies took place at University of Southern California, where he graduated with a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, in 1978.
Mike lives in Lafayette, California, and is married with two children. The family enjoys backpacking, mountaineering and skiing. Before law school, Mike coached basketball at the University of Arizona and Villanova Prep.
